Fee Structure Customers may select from 1 of 4 fee structures under which Next Technology Consulting, Inc. will provide its custom application development services. Time and Materials When scope, specification and implementation plans for a software development project are not easy to define at the outset or if a client anticipates extensive changes to scope on a daily or weekly basis, a time & material fee structure is utilized. The time & material fee structure provides a client with the ultimate in flexibility. All work performed is billed in 15-minute increments. In addition to the professional service fees applicable under a time & material fee structure, a client will also be responsible for reimbursing Next Technology Consulting for all pre-approved travel and related expenses (if any) every two weeks during a project. Approved expenses including, but not limited to, travel, meals, tolls, and lodging will be reimbursed at actual cost with the submission of expense receipts. Mileage will be reimbursed at the currently prevailing IRS allowance. Actual travel time, portal to portal, will be billed in 15-minute increments at the time & material rate. If airline travel should be required by a Next Technology consultant, on behalf of a client, during a project, the client will be billed for the scheduled flight times as denoted by the airline carrier plus 2.0 hours on the day of departure for travel to the Miami International Airport and security screening and 1.0 hour on the day of arrival for travel from the Miami International Airport. Fixed Fee When a client has well-defined requirements and when project scope and project schedules can be clearly defined and agreed to, a fixed fee structure may be utilized. Under this option, a client pays an agreed upon fixed price for the complete project. The project is linked to well-defined deliverables each of which trigger a partial payment of the agreed upon project fee. Any change in scope to the project requires a written change order agreed to by both the client and Next Technology Consulting. Changes in scope will be billed at an agreed upon hourly rate, negotiated prior to the start of the project. Dedicated Team When a client is interested in augmenting their internal development resources with skill sets that are missing from their organization or when they want to increase the available resources to complete a project within a defined timeframe, a dedicated team model may be utilized. Under this model a set of requisite skills are defined by the client along with a minimum timeline commitment for the resources. Next Technology Consulting will select the most qualified members of its staff from the available resource pool and present the candidates to the client for approval. Once the client approves the resources, Next Technology Consulting will provide the client with a fixed monthly fee schedule for the dedicated team. The monthly fee for each month must be paid at the beginning of the month, prior to the professional services being rendered. There is a minimum 3-month commitment to engage utilizing the dedicated team fee structure. The client will have full access and control of the team for the agreed upon time period. Special Forces Consulting When failure is not an option™, a client may engage Next Technology's Special Forces Consulting. A Special Forces Consulting engagement guarantees that a client's project will receive the highest priority within Next Technology Consulting. A Special Forces Partner will be assigned and onsite, fulltime, to lead the project, and all required Next Technology resources will be brought to bear to attain the objective. A Special Forces Consulting Engagement is a premium service of the firm and as such a premium fee structure applies.
